Updated ‘Identifying and responding to men who have used domestic and family Violence’ e-learning module
We're pleased to launch the updated ‘Identifying and responding to men who have used domestic and family Violence’ e-learning module from the Safer Families Centre.
Health professionals play an important role in identifying and responding to people using violence. To support this work, we've refreshed this module to reflect the current context and evidence for guiding those working in primary health care.
The updated module provides practical guidance on recognising potential indicators that a man may be using DFV, safely and sensitively asking questions about relationship health, assessing risk, and using motivational interviewing and strengths-based approaches to connecting men with resources and services to support positive behaviour and attitude change.
The Safer Families Centre has updated this resource to support health professionals to respond with greater confidence, promote earlier intervention, and contribute to safer outcomes for individuals, families and communities.
