Digital Hate

Themed on the 2025 UN  theme of 'UNiTE to End Digital Violence against All Women and Girls', the sketch shows the impact of deliberate dehumanisation, cancellation and villification where words and labels are used as weapons. Online abuse can translate to real world violence, coerced suicide of the victim and has a profound impact in eroding the victims' worth and self-esteem. It reflects the lack of  responsibility and accountability of perpetrators emboldened on social media platforms to target women and girls, negatively affecting their human rights to safety, participation and social, emotional and mental health.
