Kelly FitzPatrick

Kelly is a Research Fellow within the Sexual Abuse and Family Violence (SAFE) program in the Department of General Practice. Kelly is a scholar within the RESTORE Centre for Research Excellence, and her research is focussed on intimate partner sexual and reproductive violence and abuse.

 
Kelly completed her PhD within the Safer Families CRE (Murdoch Children’s Research Institute and University of Melbourne), using data from a cohort of over 1500 first-time mothers to examine patterns of intimate partner violence and health across the first ten years of motherhood. Following her PhD, Kelly joined the Stronger Futures CRE as co-lead of Priority Area 1: Impacts of intergenerational trauma. Kelly is currently a senior research officer and co-lead of the resilience and mental health team in the Intergenerational Health Group at the Murdoch Children's Research Institute.
