How victim survivors can become involved

Abstract artwork with overlapping geometric shapes in shades of orange, purple, yellow, and black.

Victim survivors of family and/or sexual violence are considered 'experts by experience' and are involved in our work in a number of ways including helping set the Safer Families research agenda as well as co-designing and developing research projects and policy and project work.

There are three ways that victim survivors can become involved in our work:

Lived Experience Researcher Collective

Are you a family and/or sexual violence researcher who has lived experience?

The Safer Families team want to identify whether there is interest in creating a research collective to support researchers with lived experience.

The collective would be to explore whether researchers of family and sexual violence who have lived experience see merit in the development of a National Lived Experience Research Collective and how they would like to see the group structured if they do support its creation.

Thank you to those who have participated, the data is currently being analysed.

Experts by Experience Network
