The REACH Project: Information for service providers
What is the REACH project about?
The REACH Project aims to understand how the service system in Victoria can better support the recovery of all survivors of sexual assault.
We want to talk to Victorian service providers about their approach to providing support towards recovery for the diverse range of survivors of sexual assault. We are interested to learn what works and what doesn’t, and what the challenges and opportunities are for delivering effective services to support people to recover after sexual assault.
We are separately interviewing adult survivors of sexual assault about their experiences of recovering and what can help.
How can you help?
If you are a service provider in Victoria, we would love to hear about your experiences of supporting survivors to recover after sexual assault.
We are inviting service providers/practitioners to take part in a focus group about the approaches you (and/or your service) provide to support recovery for survivors of sexual assault. The focus group will take approximately 60-90 mins. It will be held in a meeting room in Melbourne (location to be confirmed) or online using Zoom (or other video meeting program), depending on what is convenient for participants.
The focus group will be recorded (audio only) and transcribed, but we will not identify you or your organisation's name in reporting our findings. We may identify the sector in which you work, but you will not expected to represent the views of everyone in your sector.
If you cannot take part in a focus group, we may be able to do an interview with you instead.
This project has ethics approval from the University of Melbourne.
